仙媒・茶合・茶則・茶量とは

• 仙媒（せんばい）は、茶葉の量を測る茶さじの一種。
• 名称は煎茶道の流派により異なり、「茶合」「茶則」「茶量」とも呼ばれる。
• 仙媒は「仙境を媒介する道具」という意味がある。
• 主に竹が素材で、形状は縦半分の長さ12～15センチ。
• 金属、象牙、木、大理石、漆塗りなども素材に用いられる。
• 仙媒の裏面には中国風の山水画や漢詩を刻むことがある。
• 様々な文様の竹を使用し、節付き・節なしの両方がある。

竹の種類：

• 白竹（真竹）：一般的な竹。
• 黒竹（くろちく）：紫黒色の竹。
• 斑竹（はんちく）：斑紋が特徴で、「支那竹」「紋竹」とも呼ばれる。
• 虎斑竹（とらふだけ）：虎皮模様の斑竹、「虎竹」とも。
• 雲紋竹：茶褐色の雲模様がある紋竹。
• 亀甲竹：節間が亀の甲羅形の竹。
